IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Many of the Resources pages contain material that has been gathered from various sources by WPV-CERT volunteers.  It represents the best practices as far as could be determined at the time. Information like this is constantly evolving. The Emergency Preparedness and Response communities are constantly developing new tools, techniques, and technologies, and re-evaluating old ones. You should never consider material found here as "the final word" on any topic.

We urge you to do your own research. Search the internet. Try new products. And tell us what works and does not work for you. Wherever possible, we try to give numerous links to other resources where you can begin reading about any topic in more detail. Take your time. Always look for some authoritative sources, like FEMA and American Red Cross articles. And beware the lunatic fringe. There is a lot of bad advice out there. If you are unsure of some point, give us a call and we'll do some research with you.

Never adopt an advanced practice until you understand it thoroughly.
