CERT Basic Skills Class

Learn the basics of preparing yourself, your family, and your home for emergencies. You will gain skills and knowledge useful in any emergency. And you will learn how to get your neighbors together for even stronger preparedness.

We are happy to announce that this training is being given in-person again.

The next session is September 7 through October 19, with a full-day skills session on October 22.

FEMA Online Classes

FEMA offers some very useful classes through their online Independent Study Program (ISP). If you plan to become a Disaster Service Worker (more information on this is coming soon), these classes are highly recommended. They only take a few hours.

You will begin by registering on the FEMA site and getting a FEMA Student ID (SID). As you pass classes, please submit a copy of your certificates to WPV-CERT.
